The link I sent  describes some of the questions EBo had (why it is 
necessary, etc)

As of the discussion, trust me - nothing would have been nicer than to let 
someone else (even the community) handle it.
Unfortunately the board was approached. and by the current bylaws the same 
board was required to go through the process of finding and enforcing a 
solution.
