Gentle persons:
The way the LinuxCNC Configuration Selector works is ingenious, creating
its menu and descriptions from the subdirectories and "README" files
under ./configs.
I pulled the v2.5_branch this morning and found the following.
1) there are 52 README files under ./configs (as an aside, we seem to be
missing two, for ./configs/classicladder/... and ./configs/gladevcp, but
that's a color of a different horse).
2) 18 of these README files contain some variant of emc which will be
displayed by the Configuration Selector.
They are
./configs/
sim/README
sim/axis/README
sim/tklinuxcnc/README
stepper-xyza/README
plasma-5i20/README
boss/README
vti/README
dallur-thc/README
halui-pyvcp/README
motenc/README
scara/README
demo_sim_cl/README
stg/README
stepper/README
gladevcp/probe/README
puma/README
demo_step_cl/README
hexapod_sim/README
In my opinion, with little or no rewording of these READMEs, any mention
of our brand could be eliminated entirely with no loss to the user.
Regards,
Kent
PS - I typed in the file names by hand (don't ask!). Typos are always a
possibility.
