Yes and it can be added. Wondering what control combination should be selected
to
do it. currently:
left click and mouse -
rotates the view.
right click and mouse or scroll wheel - zooms
middle button (for me pressing both buttons together) - pans the view
shift key and mouse -
pans the view
right double click -
clears the plot

There are a bunch of options that can be picked in Glade such as show DRO, show
velocity, etc.
It will update the display if a new program is loaded.
it will not update it's display if a touch off is issued from another GUI.

No hal_gremlin only listens for file reload signal

Are you planning on building a stand alone GUI for linuxcnc?
I am working on one called gscreen - see the forum for info and screen shots.
maybe some ideas for you.

Most basic functions work :
you can home, jog, zero set the axis, MDI, load and run a program.
it displays absolute, relative and DTG. It will show a lathe view.
It will update the display when touch-off (zero-set) is done.
You can change the theme is uses and The DRO text color.

There is no tool table entry screen yet.
It doesn't support tabs for ncggui or webcams yet

Some of the functions are not completely intuitive.
It is in a state of flux and the programming style is organic ( I'm a self
taught amateur programmer).
I'm interested in function right now then clean up the code later.
It works with a touchscreen (but doesn't have to), resolution should be a least
1280 x 768.
there is minimal error checking for instance trying to do MDI while running a
program is not
restricted ( but EMC will error of course )
Only Dave Armstrong is seriously testing it AFAIK.

But at the very least it is a sample of what can be done.
