Yes, very cool! I feared nobody would be interested, since the patches have languished so long, but there's been quite a lot of interest, and best of all help. ;) >> I'd like to reproduce your results and help bug-fixing, but I'm not >> exactly sure how to patch everything together. I went ahead and produced a new patch against HEAD, since it's about that time. The merge of the bitmuster patch with HEAD produces a lot of cruft, cleaned up in this patch. The bitmuster changes to all the .gitignore files are reverted back to those from the master branch. The linuxcnc-bitops-fix.patch is included. Charles's rtapi message patch isn't included, since I'm still trying to figure out what the original problem was; you'll need it out to see linuxcnc HEAD running on preempt-rt (woo hoo!). www.zultron.com/static/2012/05/linuxcnc_rt_shm_20120501_cleaned.patch.gz > I have also been trying to keep build notes updated on the wiki, which > may be helpful: > >> http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Debian_Wheezy_Linux-Rt_Compile_LinuxCNC Then follow these instructions. In step 2.2, apply the patch linked above; then Charles's default_rtapi_msg_handler patch. (Skip step 2.3) Only other modifications to the instructions, since we're now working with HEAD, be sure to s/emc/linuxcnc/g.
