Ken:

Have you taken yocto for a spin yet?

I remember how painful it was to get my cross-compiling mojo working
last year when I picked up some Insignia 8s (cousins of Chumby 8s) at a
close-out sale and had to deal with a modest ARM system for the first
time. I got to the point I could build and boot my own kernel without my
fingers leaving my hands. The plan was to experiment with ways to use
these devices as remote LinuxCNC displays. Then my wife's health
problems flared up. Now that they've settled down it might be time to
try yocto since I've forgotten what I knew about bitbake, openembedded,
etc. (I set these challenges for myself to have something to do late at
night. The insomnia is partly due to heredity, partly due to stress.)

Regards,
Kent
