Currently Halshow and Halcmd show display unsigned integers as 32-bit hex values. The majority of unsigned HAL pins are not bitmasks or similar, they are numerical values such as step length or counters. I think it would be more appropriate (and user/integrator friendly) to display these values as decimal numbers.
One exception to this is the display of the serial number of Mesa smart-serial remotes which is a hexadecimal number.
