Thanks for answering Kirk.
Gremlin was built by Jeff Eppler to allow access to AXIS's plotter on
a GTK toolkit.
Pavel used it for HAL_gremlin so people could use it in GLADE panels.
I have hacked a few things into it to (Hopefully) improve it so I could
use it in Gscreen.
Ironically Gremlin IS the lower price of using openGL in GTK!
Maybe a developers manual with overviews of key software would be helpful.
The problem is that they get out of date, so you really need someone to own
the software AND the docs - and docs are no fun :)
As far as lowering the entry price of developing - This is a push of Michael's
too - eg adding python bindings for remapping.
Gscreen is my attempt to bridge a gap for people to get their feet wet building
a custom screen..
If your interested in making overview docs I suggest roughing it out on the wiki
then submitting it to John T for addition to the manual.
