One of the big discussions we had at the LinuxCNC Hackfest in Wichita
concerned how the project is governed: how are the big decisions made,
and who makes them? In a lively and amicable discussion involving most
of the attendees, we decided to try this:

Anyone who has a concrete proposal that they want to put before the
project decision-making process should write it down as an agenda item
on a wiki page created for this purpose.

Once per month, anyone who wants to help make decisions about the
month's accumulated issues will meet on IRC and discuss the proposals.
It is hoped that consensus will be reached. Decisions will be recorded
and communicated to non-attendees via the wiki and email.

The first meeting is this coming Saturday, June 29, at 16:00 GMT. This
time and date was picked by the Hackfest attendees as a compromise to
minimize grogginess, as we are spread across at least 12 hours worth of
time zones.

Preliminary details are here, to be fleshed out as needed:

The first meeting's agenda is here, please add anything you think you
need an official project decision about:

I would appreciate it if someone with a reliable irc recording robot
would provide a transcript of the meeting. Any volunteers?

See you all there, comrades!
