The phrase "smoke and mirrors" came to mind as I looked at this site,
but the information on their WigWag Kickstarter site was actually
encouraging.

Having lived through successive generations of automation/integration
efforts in a sensor-rich environment, I think these guys are on the
right track. Only time will tell if it's a track to the future or to the
tech scrapheap we oldies like to reminisce about. The most encouraging
aspect of this work is its basis in ubiquitous JavaScript.
<reminisce>Some fifteen years ago, while pitching a proposal to
management, I prepared a PowerPoint figure of my vision of a
building-information "InfoBahn". If I were to change a few words it
could easily be mistaken for a high-level view of what they are doing.
My vision was fatally flawed by its dependence on emerging software
technologies that have taken more than a decade to mature and morphed
along the way.</reminisce> By comparison, JavaScript delivers most of
what I needed "out of the box."

I wish them well (someday they may hire my nephew who lives in Austin!)
and thanks for the pointer.

Regards,
Kent
