Maybe because they see G71 as an addition to the LinuxCNC G-code
language support, not an additional, optional, plug-in that requires
users to configure Python files and create a unique system all of
their own?

I don't even know if this is an accurate description of the situation,
but a G-code that only works for some people does seem like it might
cause problems.
