The buzzword for web-pages that can update/show the contents of a mysql
database seems to be "crud".
After some googling I found this php based open-source project
http://www.grocerycrud.com/examples/the-simplest-example

It looks straightforward to at least produce two simple pages:
- a table of all entries which can be searched/sorted, etc
- a form for submitting data

perhaps also some validation is required, i.e. the latency-test would
produce a hash/CRC of all data which is checked by the form before data is
entered in the database.

If I get inspired I might try this on my own website..
