These are part of the configuration, similar to the HAL and INI files (none of which have license declarations that I can see). If there are no objections, I will add a header indicating I release the various device tree files I wrote into the public domain. Unlike the HAL and INI files, the device tree configuration examples could have use for folks outside of LinuxCNC, so I think having an "unlicense" makes sense for these specific files. And out of curiosity, what license applies to the existing configuration *.ini and *.hal file examples? I would presume the example configs are covered by the "COPYING" file at the root of the project. If so, why can't or doesn't this same logic apply to the added *.dts files? Or is this a "we're doing it right from now on" thing and the old stuff will (hopefully) get fixed sometime? :) -- Charles Steinkuehler char...@steinkuehler.net
