Yes.
The first smart-serial boards (the 8i20 and 7i64) didn't have the
self-configuation scheme, so I named the pins to match the (widely ignored)
canonical pin naming convention doc.

Mesa then brought out the second wave of smart-serial devices that declare
their pin types and layout, and give the pins names.
In master I created psuedo-roms for the 8i20 and 7i64, and they then work
through the same interface as the later boards.
(It is perhaps a pity that Mesa didn't try to keep the pin names consistent
with LinuxCNC, but they have other customers).

Also I see the analog pin is called analog0

It is a very small change to lines 151 and 152 in
src/hal/drivers/mesa-hostmot2/sserial.h
But I am not 100% sure that "analogin" is used across all Mesa cards.
