Well, hopefully, when whatever app is running, it doesn't 
need to keep
referring to DNS, as that can be slow even when everything 
is operating
normally.  But, I guess if you were to add a new connection, 
that could
take a DNS resolution, and could take an arbitrary length of 
time.

A fix would be to give IP addresses for all connections.
