Maybe a smart scheme, that short periods of very small numbers
show as decimal fraction, and only after some number of 
refreshes
where the value is consistently very small does it switch to
scientific.  Of course, that will still rile some people in 
certain
cases.  But, forcing it to ALWAYS show as decimal fractions
is bad, as sometimes you need to view really small values.
This is for Halmeter?  Maybe the best would be buttons to select
display format.
