Hi

A user has a strange error when using probing subs
He gets a 'Unknown operation' error, but only when probing in particular
directions, others work perfectly well

This is described fully in this forum thread
http://www.linuxcnc.org/index.php/english/forum/10-advanced-configuration/27658-qunknown-operationq-when-5-axis-digitizing#45854

I said I would pass it on.

Beyond that it would appear to be coming from interp_read.cc and the
error is a catchall default where no other
case in a switch() block fits, I do not know the origin.

The fact that the error occurs after the probe contact has broken
appears even stranger,
the interpreter has already read that line of code and acted on it, to
commence the probe operation?

Please reply on the forum post if you can, he is not on this list and
will save a lot of forwarding

regards
