Yes I guess that would have helped alot. :)
I find playing with deb stuff very guru as I don't deal with it much.
I think it could be helpful if we added this kind of suggestion/info to the
development docs for reference/guidelines.
In this case when I added Onboard I checked all the newest (at the time)
Ubuntu and confirmed they packaged it. If I had thought of and knew
how to add the dependency I would have.

I will try to evaluate these this weekend.
Onboard is embeddable but is also highly customizable.
One can mimic an 'industrial' control panel keyboard layout.
I wish to keep this option open.
