That I do. But in the tut, I need to drag-n-drop a "status" function on the bottom of that 4 section window created and saved. Unforch status is not in any of the left hand menu's I have explored. There is, in the HAL window, a VCP Stat, but it is ghosted and cannot be picked up or dropped, the icon is a small default kde style gear wheel. I've installed about 30 deb's that looked like they might have had some "widgets" in them, added a /usr/lib to one of the .conf files in /etc/ld.so.conf.d and reran ldconfig via a sudo several times, so far without a discernible effect. What I need resembles the GS2 tach dial, but with 2 more buttons in addition to the stopped, forward and reverse "at-speed" led's, an alternate action that switches the electronic gear shift by fiddling with a mux2.sel line, feeding the PWMGEN a larger value when the headstock has been manually shifted to low range. Basically giving me a button to enable for speeds up to 400 rpm's, enough extra gain between the pid.s.output and the pwmgen.value input such that the tach remains fairly accurate regardless of the headstock gear shift. Unfortunately, glade is a whole new language to me. > Chris M Thanks Chris M. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
