Not really possible to do high performance stepgens
from the 7I77, though you could use the field I/O for low step rate
motion (using a software stepgen at the servo thread rate) a decent MB will 
allow a 4 KHz servo thread so that gets you to a 2 KHz step rate, not grets 
but maybe useable

Theres really only one high speed output on the 7I77 card and thats
the expansion RS-422 TX pin. so I guess something could be rigged up to use
a field I/O for direction and the RS-422 pin for stepgen but its pretty M^2

Better choice is probably to use the other 5I25 connector
