This is what I've observed for a long time. It looks like ABC are treated
as angular whatever INI says. But that should not happen in Free mode.
I always put it down to mixed joints/axes. Though (at least) the Free mode
behavior is similar in joints_axes branch.
I can not test the fix right now, but it seems right.
