Slavko,  it was only recently that LCNC (nee EMC) started tracking 
submissions, instead of letting them smolder in a pit of despair.  One 
other topic that might be of interest for a student intern (BTW, I'm a 
GSoC alumni) is to collect a bunch of these old submissions and review 
the changes for merging/inclusion.  This would be a lot of busy work but 
would also be good experience for managing repositories, and would be a 
great help to the community.  I also expect that it would at least 
somewhat assuage various members angst over their hard work never being 
considered and commented on.

   Just a thought...
