I had the opportunity to use nurbs as output by truetype-tracer 4 on my plasma yesterday. The speed was 25-35 for a requested velocity of 60 IPM. The letters were 3" tall so there is no reason for the slow speed machine wise. TTT output did include some G1 moves and they ran at 60 IPM.
