I've created a branch called 2.7_Docs where I've combined the User,
Integrator and HAL manual into one document. I used to think it made
sense to have separate user and integrator manuals but now I feel that
most users are the integrators as well so that separation is only a
limitation for the documents.

The biggest reason driving me to spend the time to do this is to remove
duplicate chapters in the PDF documents.

The second and really the most important reason is to be able to freely
link from anywhere to anywhere in our documents. This will get rid of
all the "See the x documents for more information on x".

The third is to be able to search the PDF documents with the search
function. When you don't know which PDF contains the information you
have a hard time finding things.

PDF docs are here

and the HTML docs are here
<http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/doc/scratch/v2.7.0%7Epre6%7E2.7-Docs%7E383a65a/html>

thanks to Seb's buildbot.

When you look at the LinuxCNC Documentation pdf make sure you turn on
the side pane so you can see the index. The only problem I have now with
any PDF is the Contents link in the side pane doesn't send you to the
beginning of the contents but rather the end. The side pane is much
easier to navigate with the collapsible index. I'm looking at providing
the collapsible function on the HTML docs as well to reduce the page
height on them to a screen full.
