That is the one that I was looking at. It appears to have a semi 
complete GUI but I could not get it to load up a hal file. I will take 
another look to see where it is at and if it looks like it has the 
basics to do what I want.

While it would be somewhat nice to use an existing schematic software I 
would prefer that it was something that would be more automatic and 
easier to use. The main goal of the project for me is to make HAL much 
more user friendly so having to set up an external program to interface 
with the LinuxCNC system. I want it to be more plug and play.

I had not found that one yet but I will look further into it. It looks 
pretty good from the wiki. There are some things that I don't like also.

I have installed and used the Rockhopper_Web_Server and it works to look 
at the status of the current HAL config but it does not allow for 
editing. Also it is a royal PITA to set up, or it was for me anyway. 
Again I see that simple access to the program and simple operation of 
the program is essential or the users won't use it. The entire goal is a 
simpler method to set up the machine via GUI vs text editing.
