There are no setp's in the hal file that could effect the resting
position of the x axis. The dro indicates after homeing, a RAD of -0.2100
and a DIAMETER of -0.4200.

Touch-off to 0.00 leaves it unchanged at the above. The results of doing
a touch off to other offsets in an attempt to hit a 0.000 do not make
sense. The position.vars are all zeroed, so deleting it before
restarting linuxcnc has no effect. So where do I get the dro's figures
from?

The memory limits at 1Gb seems to be mucking with it, running hal_config,
and trying to use its command line to set the y-val-nn data fails 100%
of the time and although focus remains on the hal-config window it takes
no more mouse or keyboard input until its restarted.

Stuff to check list please?

I also have what appears to be a too far backoff for x home, it claims on
the first home that the switch isn't made, so quits, clicking on home x
again? Works perfectly. And the movements are almost identical.

I'm all stove up from wrestling, in the bottom of a 4.5 foot deep ditch,
with a broken water line.

And I've miss-laid my headache pills... But I do have water again.

Thanks all.
