I have fixed on the sims in the past but I don't think I'm up to it
anymore Andy. Too many years on the wet ram. But in its present state it
surely isn't usable for much. Besides, I don't have commit perms.

Anyway, I've added a couple registration holes as the first thing it cuts
so if I have to take it off the table to check the fit, I can put it
back within a couple thou.

And, without moving the machine, I have homed it, then checked for a
different z offset, which was 60 thou off for g55 & g56 only, so as an
experiment, I used the touch-off to fix both, and have now arrived at a
zero offset, which seems to be holding for z offsets at 0.000000 now
over restarts. So if I check from the mdi line and see an offset, at
least I know how to fix it.

One thing I'm noting is that the G5x state isn't always displayed in the
status line above the mdi cli box, so while it works 100% of the time,
its displayed state hasn't always changed to match. A minor

I need to order another box of 1/8" bits, so I'm not going to restart on
this till they arrive. And I need to correct the x offset in map 55 by
about 3/16", apparently I didn't get a good measurement. And I should
have better glasses by next Saturday. Then we hope for warmer weather
to warm up the shop some.

I'm not that familiar with gmoccapy, but my limited poking at it in the
night last night, I did not discover a status display of the co-ord map
in use?

Is there such a critter in gmoccapy?

Thanks Andy.
