Greetings all; I have also been logging complaints about a bad usb cable. Finally decided to unplug and replug them all (thats a bunch, the usb tree here resembles a weeping willow) getting responses from everything but the extension cable that had a staples 4 port self powered hub plugged into it, and the keyboard/mouse dongle plugged into it. Humm, goto garage and find a couple spare hubs, one self powered and one with blue connectors that was powered. swapped the staples hub that had been the keyboard/mouse input for years with a no-name that had activate buttons for each port. Now a tail on the logs shows it all signing in normally. Deposit staples hub in outgoing container bag.
