IOW they serve as the user interface (axis, whatever) language according 
to the locale of the install, and aren't part of the doc/pdf files 
built.  Does this then work for the man pages? Not getting those in 
one's 1st language seems like a problem to me.  This needs us to 
shanghai more translators. (says a guy who only claims to read American 
English) :-[ And at this late date, can't even read the German I had to 
read to fix Telefunken car radios in 1955.  Today, those memories are 
like a previous life... Faint memories indeed.
