A couple more things I noticed when I open Raspberry Pi Configuration Login as user 'pi' is selected even though the directory /home/linuxcnc is the user directory. This suggests to me that the user pi was not changed because when I setup my pi with my user name it shows up in the configuration screen. However I don't see where user pi is in /etc/passwd so that puzzles me a bit. I'll have to look into that...

I also noticed that SPI was enabled, this puzzles me why that is enabled?

Other than adding a read me file to the desktop with the user name and password everything seems to work.

I wonder why we don't have a menu item for the latency histogram? It seems to make more sense to have latency-histogram --nobase as a tool for checking latency on a preempt kernel.
