Well, I've not made a concerted effort to cross check the docs in evince, and I can't say as I've actually noticed any missing gfx. Does the pdf engine in evince now recognize and do its own conversions when jpeg's or png's are included in a pdf? If that is the case for todays pdf engines, it would seem to be expeditious to remove those conversions from the associated makefiles and just let the pdf engine handle all that. Thanks Andy.
