Thanks Rainer,

I personally do exclusively use open-source software.
Freecad is enough to do the rough part, if it comes to details, I do hand
coding.

Linux here in Peru is still a step child, everybody uses cracked versions of
all sort of commercial software.
However, this specific customer uses Fusion 360 with a legal license, and I've
reconfigured it to produce the code that
machine needs.
High precision in that case is not needed, however the machine sticks to 0.02mm
if not chattering at very long Z stick-outs
like in the end of the video while retracting from the holes.

Ju

still fighting the change from TCP to idendity mode, but so far, I'm happy.

Thanks to all the folks working on LinuxCNC.

Hi Juergen,

great achievement. congrats.

What CAD/CAM toolchain do you use ?? Did you try Fusion 360 ?

When using a CAM tool, switching the modes should not be a point until
machining high precision parts.

For the precision needed by casting patterns it will surely work.

Or do you need it, because you do manual programming ?

cheers

Rainer
