That would be great and OpenSCAD would be nice but it also is being 
developed at a high rate of speed. I use the AppImage here and its 
refreshed about monthly.  The Stable issue is now around 14 months older 
than the current AppImage. OpenSCAD already has excellent docs.

The AppImage is now up to 100x faster for some things. And 10x faster at 
most everything.

Unfortunately, Stephen, I may be the only "wild card" here, both in the 
use of OpenSCAD and in the use of an rpi to drive a 3/4 ton 75 yo Sheldon 
lathe I rebuilt. I've an rpi4b in there now, but did it with an rp3b for 
a couple years. With some good luck I won't be alone, I sent a couple 
bootable u-sd's to another gent out on the left coast, 4 days ago who is 
going to see if he can run his 3 axis Cinci mill, and maybe even a Mazak 
with rpi4's.
