Hi,

While YangYang will concentrate on fixing planner_type 1 the S-Curve in the current TP, I have given up on the idea that it can be fixed, there are architectural limitations which in my opinion cannot be easily overcome, but I hope YangYang can find solutions that can adapt without a complete TP rewrite.

But since he is working on that, and I had a weekend to spare, I started working on porting Tormach architecture over, as part of a larger TP refactor, which starts from porting Tormach over as planner_type 2

The refactor plan you can find at this post in the forum

forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...ons?start=640#341856

What has been done (vibe coded) this weekend is at

github.com/grandixximo/linuxcnc/tree/9d

This is phase 0 completed, according to my plan, this is extremely experimental work in progress, there are known issues at the moment, no arcs no blends, no scurve, as illustrated by the plan you can find at the post, which I got not much feedback..

Next phase it is IMO to hard to be vibe coded, but I will try in my spare time. Should I get YangYang on board with this? or just let him concentrate on fixing planner_type 1?
