It is my understanding that EN 55022 (Limits and methods of measurement
of radio interference characteristics of information technology
equipment) is the required EMISSIONS standard for ITE equipment in lieu
of EN 50081-X (EMC Generic Emissions). Because an appropriate IMMUNITY
standard for ITE has not been released, the required standard is EN
50082-X (EMC Generic Emissions). I am aware of two other EN standards
relating to ITE Immunity which as I understand it, have not yet been
formally released. These are:
EN 55106 (Immunity requirements for information technology equipment
[non telecommunications terminal equipment]
and
EN 55024-X (Immunity of ITE)
1. Can someone tell me which of these standards will ultimately replace
EN 50082-x for ITE equipment?
2. When is a formal release expected?
3. Do these standards require essentially the same tests and levels as
defined in the generic document e.g. Light Industrial vs. Heavy
Industrial limits?
Thanks in advance
