Both these standards are for hazardous areas, in particular using intrinsic
safety as the protection method.

These standards are above and beyond "basic safety" and therefore
950 or 1950  will not suffice.  The similar USA hazardous area  standards would
be
FM 3610, UL 913 (?), and ISA  RP12.6.

I would not make the assumption that if you meet 950 or 1950 for ITE you can
meet AS 2380.7 or IEC 79-11.  They are entirely seperate.
