EN 60065 mainly applies to audio-visual equipment such as VCRs, amplifiers, electronic instruments, radio receivers, etc. It does not apply to data processing or ITE equipment. If you are uncertain as to whether your equipment is covered by the standard, take a look at the scope of the standard (usually clause 1.1) and it will list the types of equipment that the standard applies to. The scope of EN 60065 states that equipment explicitly mentioned in the scope of EN 60950 is not covered by EN 60065.
