UL (U.S.) requirements are that any cables touching power cables, or
that can be moved to touch power cables, the voltage insulation rating
must be equal to the highest voltage rated cable. For example, if
the primary cable is rated at 600 Vac, the signal cables must also
carry insulation that is rated at 600 Vac. Typically, signal cables
are rated at 300 Vac or less. In that case, they must be prevented
from touching the primary cable and be so secured to prevent movement
that can cause them to touch.
Per the IEC/EN 60 950 requirements, the separation distance must meet
minimum clearance and creepage between primary and secondary circuits,
or as described in Table 3 and Table 4.
However, as you well know, for EMC purposes, you want this separation
to be greater than ~3 inches, depending upon the frequency of
interest.

Dear forum,
I would like to ask whether there is a standard / recommended practice
for the minimum distance between power cables and data transmission cables
like twisted pair (both shielded and unshielded).
