Greetings,

I am trying to locate specifications which address maximum magnetic field
exposure levels in work environments. I am somewhat familiar with the OSHA
guidelines on maximum permissible power density levels at RF/microwave
frequencies but do not recall ever seeing requirements for 60 Hz magnetic
fields (from industrial rotating machinary). I don't want to open up the great
"power transmission line debate" and I fully appreciate that this is an area of
current debate (no pun intended). Ideally someone could point me to an
industrial safety spec that says the maximum magnetic exposure level is x gauss.

Any help in locating pertinent specifications or interpretation of the
requirements would be greatly appreciated. If someone has already been down
this road and knows that this is an area that has not been defined, please let
me know.

thanks in advance for any assistance...
