All - Rich forgot one more color of concern in North America:
Natural Gray: Neutral
I think this is a light gray color. I couldn't begin to tell you what makes
any gray color unnatural, but you might as well avoid gray altogether (anywhere
but for the neutral), if there's any possibility it might be confused with a
neutral wire.
