I am busy researching the extent of use of ISM equipment in the 2.8 GHz ISM band to determine, on a pro-active basis, whether we will experience EMI/EMC problems when deploying telecomms in this band (Spread Specturm Applications). We have had extensive EMI problems when using the 2.4GHz ISM band for point-to-multipoint TDMA telecomms applications (I belief mainly due to microwave oven radiation). Apart from the typical use applications mentioned in Rec SM.1056 of the ITU (and also CISPR 11), I do not have any specific knowledge of typical ISM equipment and manufacturers of ISM equipment that utilises the 2.8GHz ISM band. I will appreciate any input in this regard - equipment type, use purpose and manufacturer. I beleive this band should be "cleaner" than the 2.4GHz ISM band?
