No Car batteries, solder and pewter beer tankards are
still on sale, there is no prohibition on the sale of lead
containing products. Under the general product safety
directive you will have to provide adequate safety
instructions if the componants are to sold to the
general public and such instuctions are needed
for them to be safe.
