A couple of questions have come to me and I'm having a little difficulty trying to answer. Therefore, I'm posing these questions to those more knowledgeable than I. The questions are:
1. If some system that utlized some telco card(s) were to be installed in a foreign country outside the US and behind a PBX, would those telco card(s) need to be formally approved for use in that country to be allowed to connect behind a PBX (e.g., using an unapproved higher density telco line card in place of an approved lower density telco line card)? It is assumed that this question does not apply to those countries where system-level approvals are necessary - OR - 2. If formal approval is not necessary, would use of any telco card(s) then be soley(?) dependent on functional compatibility with the PBX? 3. The next logical question would then be, which countries do/will accept using this philosophy? Has anyone had any experience with this? The answers to these questions will enlighten the party who asked the original questions and educate me a liitle more, as well. So that I can answer the first question with confidence, I hope there will be a sizable response to get a good representative concensus. Thanks is advance.
