Fred, The UL Class 2 classification is for air filters, and comes from UL900, the Standard for Test performance of Air filter Units. The Class 2 test is similar to 94HB(it is timed burn rate test). It is referenced in UL1950, subclause 4.4.3.6 Annex P.2. Filters that comply with the Class 2 requirements are considered to comply with the requirements of 4.4.3.6.
