Amendment 2 of EN61010-1, the European version
of IEC1010-1 has not yet been listed in the Official
Journal. Therefore the change that makes appendix
K normative and 100% production hipot testing a
requirement of that standard is not yet mandatory
on those for whom EN61010-1 is applicable and
who choose compliance with the harmonised
standards to meet the requirements of the LVD.
This situation is however likely to short lived as
a listing on standards under the LVD is due soon
and as the date of withdrawal of conflicting
standards to the amendment passed on 1 Apr 96
the requirement will come into force immediately
on listing in the OJ
