Like other people commenting so far, I have great concern about using a mains connector for LV DC Power Entry. The use of any equipment for other than intended purposes is fraught with danger, particularly when the original use has safety implications.
Have you look at the DIN ISO 4165 connectors. This is and `industrialised' cigarette lighter connector and at least has some standardised use although intended for 6 to 24 Volt systems. There seems to be no real standards in the use of DC connectors as there are with mains connectors. Even the concentric DC connectors used with plug packs have a variety of implementations. I suppose some standards have emerged in the PC industry with 4 way Molex connectors for disk drives. Connectors in commercial marine use on 24 volts usually use multi-pin round connectors which differ with each equipment. I think that there is a real need for standards for usage of connectors for popular DC power usage.
