The Los Angeles chapter of the IEEE EMC Society meets once every month in Torrance. You might check the web site: http://www.emclab.umr.edu/ieee_emc/ for more info.
The Orange County chapter found that the meetings were too small, so they combined with the LA chapter. I also am aware that the San Diego chapter meets regularly as well. Hope this helps. Randall T.
