A few years ago we used both of the following translation services with good
results - don't know if they are still in business or not. Someone else
responding to you mentioned $200/page. Yes that is about right for
"business" or "legal" - likely more for "technical". When we used them ICOA
was better technically.

For small jobs, we now often type the document into the computer (or scan
with German OCR) and use Power Translator Professional software. We've tried
5-6 different ones and this is the best yet for normal conversation and
business/legal. It leaves something to be desired for electro-technical -
but it has a dictionary you can add to. I and some others here read a little
German and have "cheat sheets" for technical phrases in our industry. This
program costs about $350.00. Sorry, don't have an address/phone handy.

Good Luck.

     Hello All,

From time to time I have found it necessary to translate a
correspondence, technical article, etc. from German, French or some
other foreign language to English. This is usually because no English
copy exists.

Does anyone have any good experiences with a technical
translator that they would recommend??

     Thanks for the information.
