Moshe, There are several directives that include acoustic noise requirements. A good summary was published in the Noise/News International, Sept 94. Most of these are dealing with safety issues, therefore high levels. The Machinery Directive (89/392) includes acoustic noise requirements which may be relevant if your product falls within the scope of that directive.
