Agreed, but may I humbly suggest it would be much better to send only "straight" ASCII text and save all the bother at the other end. This is, after all, a text discussion list, and graphics are simply a pain, and so is a graphical representation of character-based text. I use a simple, fast, pure ASCII editor (PCWrite) to email and to post to newsgroups. If you do use a wordprocessor, they can all export text in ASCII (DOS) form, stripping off all confusing formatting symbols.
