I'm fairly new here and have never read the charter. My fault. From the groups title "emc", I was thinking in a different line of thought. In that case, since undergrade courses do prepare one for EIT and PE, the teaching is already in place. At least for safety. It's only a matter of ethics after that. I think someone already alluded to that. But, I would submit that reinventing the wheel can get old. And I did not intend to give the impression that since the standard already gives construction specs that everything was a "no brainer". If that was the interpretation, that certainly was not my intent. My intent is more in lines with the fact that although, say, the NEC specifies alot itself, it certainly isn't a "no brainer".
